Statistics show that a staggering 10% of the global population are going hungry. Closer to home, 1 in 7 Canadians are food insecure. Harvest Manitoba serves over 15,000 children each month.

Food insecurity can have impacts that affect the quality of life for both adults and children. It can lead to physical and mental health conditions, employability, ability to go to school, and more. Food is a necessity that enables developing the full potential of each person, ensuring human dignity, and promoting individual and collective wellbeing. I want to be able to provide this for those in need within Canada and around the world. 

I’m raising funds for and awareness about food insecurity for all through Active in Mission!   

I have committed to walking 10,000 steps a day for 90 days straight.

Funds raised will support food programs in Thailand, India, the Philippines, DR Congo, South Sudan, El Salvador, Rwanda, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Ukraine, AND Canada.
